On August 24 an exhibition of American children's paintings " Side by Side with Ukraine" was opened in Irpin, Ukraine.
On March 24, 2022, the city of Irpin was awarded the honorary title of "Hero City of Ukraine" by the Decree of the President of Ukraine in order to celebrate the feat, mass heroism and resilience of citizens, shown in the defense of their cities during the repulse of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Irpin is a symbol of the indomitable Ukrainian spirit. This is a city where people did not surrender, did not submit, but united in the face of the enemy. This is a city that has become an example for the whole world. At the cost of incredible efforts, at the cost of the lives of our Heroes, Irpin stood firm, the enemy was stopped.
